Rod Williams’ Art

Rod Williams is a retired English gentleman, with a background in graphic works for print studios and a later career in the Police, while still working as a freelance illustrator, mainly for magazines. Rod’s passion for painting and illustrating became a hobby with his retirement…

Well, I have been sitting on this for a few years now not knowing what it’s next step should be. It took 2 or 3 years to complete doing the research and the illustrations for the 170 airlines depicted, and now at the age of 73 would like it to be seen and appreciated.

Rod says of his huge effort of illustrating almost all airline that were born and raised in the UK history, the result is a 170 illustration gallery meant to be a book…

“I have had a successful period of doing commission paintings of various subjects but the aircraft paintings are usually just for general interest. The livery works were originally intended to be published but at 73 I really do not want the hassle now, just a quiet life painting.”

Rod’s huge work and passion needs to have a place to be seen, researched and is permanently exposed on this website, representing the Airlines & Airliners History spirit!
